How Will Shockwave Therapy Help Me?
Shockwave therapy delivers controlled acoustic pulses into the affected tissue, triggering biological responses that may help reduce pain and support tissue repair and remodelling.
Pain Relief
Helps modulate local pain signalling, through effects on substance P and nociceptive nerve activity.
Revascularisation
Stimulates new blood vessel formation and vascular responses within affected tissue.
Tissue Remodelling
Promotes cellular activity and collagen synthesis, supporting the repair and remodelling of affected tendon and connective tissue.
More Than Just Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy can be a powerful tool, but persistent injuries often need more than one treatment.
At Helix Recovery, we start with a thorough assessment to understand your injury and what may be contributing to it. Where appropriate, shockwave therapy is combined with osteopathic treatment, progressive exercise rehabilitation and load management to build a clear plan for your recovery.
Assess
Understand your injury, symptoms and what’s holding you back.
Treat
Use shockwave and osteopathic treatment where clinically appropriate.
Rebuild
Progressively restore strength, capacity and confidence through targeted rehabilitation.
Return
Build toward the activities, sport or training that matter to you.
